These are paraphrased from the discussion of this ship in the Draco/Luna thread on Unredeemed.net (which is now defunct).
-They would be able to have deep conversations, and Luna would be able to comfort Draco (who would be quite upset after his father was thrown in Azkaban).
-Luna would accept Draco for who he was, and not just dismiss him as another Slytherin gone bad.
-Draco might open up to her, she'd be understanding, he'd get mad for opening up to her, but she wouldn't even bat an eye (literally).
-If he started to insult her, she wouldn't react and he'd try his best to provoke her. This would probably mean studying her very closely, so he'd know what makes her tick. He'd get interested in her at the very least so he could get a reaction. Draco doesn't like to be ignored.
-We don't know for sure what Draco's type of girl (or guy) is. People's taste in boyfriends/girlfriends/spouses/lovers/whatever usually changes as they get older, so even if Pansy was Draco's taste right now, that could all change.
-Luna probably knows that Draco's home life isn't as wonderful as he claims because she's quite observant. If she knew that, she would be able to understand him even better.
-If they did get together, maybe Luna would learn to stand up to the people who push her around. Then again, she could just become cynical, untrusting and paranoid. (Some one has to play the devil's advocate here)
-There are aspects of both Draco and Luna's personalities which make them a good match, even if there's no canon evidence whatsoever.
